Maintenance Guide for Electric Rolling Door Accessories

In commercial and industrial areas, electric roller shutters are widely used due to the convenience and safety brought by automated operation. However, in order to maintain its long-lasting operating efficiency and extend its service life, regular professional maintenance and upkeep is indispensable. This article details each maintenance step, aiming to help facility managers and owners ensure the working condition of electric rolling shutter doors through effective maintenance measures.

Electric Rolling Door parts

Motor and drive system: The motor is the power source of the electric rolling shutter door and needs to be kept clean and in good heat dissipation condition. Dust and debris on the surface of the motor should be removed regularly, and the cooling fan should be checked to see if it is working properly. The drive chain or belt should be maintained at proper tension and applied with an appropriate amount of lubricant to reduce wear. If there is abnormal noise or unstable operation, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
Control box and switch: The control box contains complex electrical components and should be protected from moisture and dust. Regularly check whether the wiring of the control system is firm and free of short circuits or corrosion. Switches and buttons should be responsive. If there is a delay or malfunction, they need to be adjusted or replaced in time.
Remote control and receiver: The remote control battery should be replaced regularly to ensure the stability of the control signal. The receiver antenna and sensor should be kept clean with no obstructions affecting signal reception. If you find that the remote control range is shortened or out of control, you should check the battery power or adjust the position of the receiver.

Curtains and connectors: Curtain materials should be kept intact and cleaned regularly to remove dirt. Check the curtain connections and fasteners to make sure they are not detached or damaged. Damaged door curtains should be repaired or replaced in time to maintain the overall strength and appearance.
Locks: Locks are an important factor in ensuring safety. Regularly check whether the mechanical part of the lock is flexible and whether the circuit of the electronic lock is normal. Once problems are discovered, they should be repaired or replaced in time.
Emergency stop and safety device: The emergency stop device can quickly stop the door movement under abnormal circumstances to prevent accidental injuries. This function should be tested regularly for proper functioning and other safety devices (such as infrared sensors) should be ensured to be in good working order.
Guide rail: The guide rail is an important part of the operation of the electric rolling shutter door, and its maintenance is equally important. First of all, regularly clean the dust, debris and oil on the guide rails to keep them clean and smooth. Secondly, check whether the guide rail is deformed, loose or damaged. If there is any problem, it should be repaired or replaced in time. In addition, in order to maintain the lubricity of the guide rails, an appropriate amount of lubricant should be applied regularly to the guide rails to reduce friction and wear of the door curtain during the sliding process.
