There are usually two types of remote controls for garage rolling shutter doors: wireless remote controls and wired remote controls. Although wireless remote controls are more convenient than wired remote controls, failures often occur during their use, such as rolling shutter door failures, remote control key failures, etc. Therefore, most household electric rolling shutter door remote controls currently on the market use wireless remote control solutions. Here are some tips for recovering from a rolling door malfunction and a tutorial for recovering from a rolling door key fob malfunction.
remote key
1. If the indicator light does not light up when the operation button of the electric rolling shutter door remote control key is clicked, there are only two possibilities: the battery is dead or the button is malfunctioning. Please replace the batteries of the remote control and try the operation again. If the fault persists, you need to disassemble the remote control, take out the battery, loosen the fixing screws of the remote control, and then disassemble the remote control to clean the dust and other debris inside the remote control. After cleaning the inside of the remote control, reinstalling the remote control and installing new batteries, the malfunction can usually be resolved.
2. If the indicator light comes on when the remote control key of the electric rolling shutter door clicks the operation button, but the rolling shutter door does not respond, the remote control and receiver should be recoded. Please refer to the product instruction manual and follow the code matching steps in the instruction manual to code the remote control and receiver. Note that the current remote control for electric rolling shutter doors only has two frequencies, and the frequency can be encoded by the receiver.
First, locate the receiver alignment key, which is usually on the back of the motor. Hold it down until the receiver light stays on. At this time, click the remote control operation button, the receiver indicator light and the remote control indicator light flash at the same time, indicating successful alignment. If the remote control and receiver are still unable to control the lifting and lowering of the rolling shutter door, we recommend that you do not continue to find the fault point and try to solve it, but instead ask a product after-sales service technician for assistance.
